Dash the donkey learns why it's important to listen to good advice.

At night, Dash was free to munch on green grass in a meadow. But instead of grass, he liked to sneak into nearby farms!

Dash loved eating the yummy vegetables there. Before the sun came up, he'd hurry back home to the washerman.

One night, Dash met a clever jackal named Jax. They became good friends and explored together every night.

Dash was strong and could break farm fences. While he ate veggies, Jax would sneak in to find tasty treats too!

One bright night, Dash said, 'Jax, the moon is so lovely! I feel like singing a song. What should I sing?'

Jax said, 'Dash, we should be quiet so we don't wake the farmers. Your voice is loud and might get us caught!'

'Please, Dash,' Jax pleaded, 'let's just enjoy our food quietly. Singing can wait for another time.'

Dash was upset. 'Jax, you just don't understand music! I'm going to sing a wonderful song right now!' he declared.

Seeing Dash wouldn't listen, Jax said, 'Okay, but let me stand outside the fence to watch for farmers.'

Jax hid outside. Dash began to sing loudly, 'Hee-haw! Hee-haw!' His voice echoed through the quiet farm.

The farmers woke up! They saw Dash in their field and chased him with sticks. Dash was so scared he fell down!

They tied a wooden piece around his neck and let him go. Dash slowly walked back through the fence, feeling sad.

Jax laughed, 'Oh, Dash! That was some song! I see the farmers gave you a special necklace!' Dash learned his lesson.
